This week started off…. a bit rough and tough … with my Afro puffs 🤦🏾♀️🙄 rock on wit your bad self! Remember that song?
Ok, well seriously my week started off with me trying to get my rhythm. I felt like I was double dutching (jump roping). I was bouncing and made it in between the two ropes, but I lost my rhythm for a moment because I was distracted by that… fly, mosquito…I don’t know what it was, but it was something that distracted me. I thought I saw a butterfly, but instead it was definitely one of those pesty bugs. At any rate, the week progressed with so many beautiful surprises. I got to hang with one of my little spoiled sisters. She is so spoiled, but really I can’t talk. I am too…there I said it….
I left smiling because I hung with another one of my littles sisters and my son and his friend and they cracked me up! They truly gave me life! I was able to see another sister of mine and her husband and even watch him introduce those teen boys to a podcast! This was so inspiring because I love when people help my baby!
But as all of these good things were going on, I was still being distracted by that darn pesty bug. I received so many random messages and calls. My ex husband even called to thank me. That’s not unusual but that still made my day! One of my closest friends and I even shared a heart to heart which showed the importance of communication. It also showed the importance of being mindful of everyone’s needs.
Then I received messages from old students. Students from almost nine years ago. They remembered things that I said and sent me messages years later to share with me!
As you move forward with your day, your week, your life… always embrace the good!
Oh!!! And I started kickboxing!!!!! Yes!!! I want to get into that jumpsuit…. I didn’t buy it yet Jayla🤦🏾♀️😱😘
Sometimes we allow those pesty bugs to knock us off of our rhythm and if you understand double dutching that messes up the chants, the laughters, and those big ole smiles everyone participating has!
Even if it was or later becomes a butterfly that approaches, keep your focus, stay true to you, and smile BIG!
