To Practice Self-Preservation or..Not

If you are like me, daily you will do for others, but very often forget about yourself.

I find myself loving to help so much that often I neglect myself. It’s kind of like that person that puts way too much food on their plate knowing it’s too much, but they will still eat it all and later hurt….

Self-preservation is ideally the act of protecting yourself from harm, but many of us fail to practice it even when we think we are. We make time to get our nails and hair done. We even make time to shop, but do we take moments to ourselves? Do we take long moments to breath, self reflect, and honoring our own accomplishments?

Do we take moments to lift ourselves up? If you have answered no to this, you might need to say no to others and do something for self.

Go get a massage, start a book that you have been meaning to start, go start that exercise class that you have been dying to start. Plan that trip that you have always said you wanted to go on… and do it today.

But take a moment to preserve YOU… we don’t have a whole lot of moments left.
