A friend shared that I have a “hearty, soulful” laugh. I do! I laugh and I show all of my teeth and I probably lose a lot of calories too…
I have selected people that I want in my life. These are people who can teach me, correct me when I wrong, allow me to do the same, and who live their lives not being boggled down by what society or people think of them.
I marvel at the way we all carry ourselves. We make plans, we stick to them, but if they don’t work, we understand the importance of flexibility. We value that word and we know that it does not mean that we failed, or that we are “all over the place” as I heard one person say, but we have faith in our own walk.
One thing that I’ve learned in life is to trust your own gut, and take moments to yourself as you plan your own journey.
Today and tomorrow and even if you need next week, I challenge you to live without worrying what others will say. That might mean taking a day off of work. It might mean going to eat alone. It might mean booking a trip you have desired. It might even mean writing a letter to someone that hurt your feelings. Whatever it is, take time to do this.
Next, I challenge you to laugh! Dig deep and find that soulful laugh that we all have and laugh your heart out!
Find a friend that will always sing that theme song “thank you for being a friend” while also making you laugh until you cry or even pee on yourself!
