I think my first massage was in my early twenties. I still get them. That’s one of the consistent things I do monthly. I allow myself a time to just be pampered. This is what I need to allow the stresses of life to escape my body. Even during law school, I did this monthly. Over the last year this has been something that has kept me sane….
Life is as complicated as we make it….
Right?? I think so, but I’m not so naive to say that challenges can be overcome so quickly.
Daily we have puzzle pieces that are thrown into our box. We must remember that those puzzle pieces are NOT suppose to remain in our box. We cannot be deceived into thinking they are a part of our puzzle or too afraid into thinking that if we rid ourselves of those pieces that we will no longer need them.
We need to get into our zone, grab our favorite snacks and/ or items and remember that to gain clarity, we must sit still.
I also love baths. I remember someone asking why I took so many baths. I would sit in the tub for a very long time and pray, read, and just sit still to allow myself a time to get out all of the stresses.
Today and tomorrow and this weekend, I challenge you to sit in peace and as I use to tell my son when he was young “go sit in your thinking chair!”
Be still and enjoy those much needed things to help you …
