I had several to send me texts, emails, and calls over the last couple of days about how they are still searching for their happy place…
I suggest don’t stop searching…
I must say that it’s not an easy task. It is not easy to remain hopeful when you go through #thisthingcalledlife…. When life pounces on you, sometimes it’s hard to get up and keep moving. But, it can be inspiring when you hear of people overcoming challenges…
This was actually a conversation I had with one of my big babies yesterday. At 25, he is truly amazing! He has a degree, a place to stay, a job that he enjoys, and plans to move forward. Yeah he has bills .. we all do and I definitely hate them 🙄😫… but the good thing is with a positive mindset he will continue to conquer. And the bills ….they will still be there until he becomes rich or is able to pay them off….I mentioned to him that he must find his happy place so that when he gets to that overwhelming feeling he can escape there.
This made me think of conversations I had with people over the last few days. A random old classmate called me and gave me shocking compliments; I remind her of songs of inspiration. I am that woman that people sing about who uplifts and is always positive…. who me 👀👀? Every time she feels down, she thinks of me and how inspiring I am.
Whoa… #humbled #growth #learnedbehavior
Please know that my inspiration and positivity comes from prayer, sitting a lot in solitude, reading and focusing on the positivity of life and reading books that can sometimes take me to a far away place….
I thought on this convo and wandered about other women and their “happy places” and I sent a few messages out to a few women and they responded. So,over the next week I want to share their messages on their happy places and how they found it. This may help you…
It helps me❤️
First we have Mrs. E. I have admired her since I met her in Germany a few years ago. She has a lovely personality and is always so full of hope and positivity. I can attest to what her happy place is because she has allowed me to travel with her. As a matter of fact, my first time driving on the autobahn was with Mrs. E! She shares her responses:
Question: Where is your happy place?
I have a few happy places. Reading a book in a cafe, bookstore or quiet corner in the library is one and traveling to foreign lands is another.
Question: How did you find your happy place?
My first happy place I discovered as a child. My love of reading helped to discover this happy place….Reading took me to new worlds and expanded my mind. Travel allows me to meet people from around the world and hear their “ story”….. it gives me a new perspective outside of North American media.
Question: What challenges in life has forced you to go to this place?
I was a quiet, shy child who didn’t have many friends and it was difficult for me to make friends since my type of fun was reading. There wasn’t any challenges for travel. I always desired to know about the world. I often wondered about how people lived beyond my city.
Question: what advice can you give to someone struggling with finding their happy place and being fulfilled?
My advice for fulfillment is to search for your passion. What is something you would do for free? Ask yourself what things create peace in your life and makes your soul hum and do that.
Question: What does it mean for you to be fulfilled?
…fulfillment to me is being happy with you, where you are in life at the moment and working towards achieving success ( whatever that means to you not society)
After reading her responses a few times, I realized why I admire the circle that I keep; they uplift me and help me find strategies to balance my daily life❤️
Take today to start working on your 😃
